How to Give

The HCC Endowment now has a 50-year heritage of building for the continued growth and development of Hutchinson Community College and Area Vocational School.

This institution is a vital educational, training, and cultural resource for this area. A gift to HCC is an investment in the lives of students, businesses, and the communities who benefit from all we offer. Our success would not be possible without the generous financial support of alumni, friends, and businesses who treasure the solid, affordable college education right here in central Kansas. It is this invaluable private support that assures the margin of excellence for HCC programs, services and facilities.

Quality education is certainly an economic benefit to our communities; but the investment in nurturing students provides far greater returns in so many ways. Please consider the various ways you might choose to support HCC through the Endowment.

Donations to the Endowment Association, a non-profit organization, are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Matching Gifts

Double or possibly triple your gift to HCC! Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees, retirees, and/or spouses. Check with your company’s personnel or human resources office to inquire about matching gift opportunities.

Gifts In Memory-Honor

In considering ways to support the college, you may want to make a gift in honor of a relative, friend, teacher, or student. There are a variety of opportunities to pay tribute to that special person, and we will gladly help you match your generosity with the most appropriate recognition.
When you make a memorial or honorary gift to the college, we notify the honoree (or family member if posthumous) of this recognition. Please supply that contact information to us when you send your gift to the HCC Endowment Association.

Gifts In-Kind

The Endowment Association often accepts equipment, artwork, and other donations of property that either will be useful for the college or can be readily converted to cash.
Please contact the Endowment office to discuss the nature of your in-kind donation and how it might be used to benefit HCC. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and desire to support the college.

Stocks & Bonds

Gifts of appreciated securities can give the donor attractive tax benefits while helping the college. The Endowment can assist you in arranging a transfer.

Planned Giving

Leave a legacy behind through planned giving. You can create endless opportunities for future HCC students. Your life changing gift may help first generational students find an exciting career path, students struggling financially to be successful, or students returning to enhance their lives and their family’s lives.

Will or Trust Bequests

Through a will or trust, you can make gifts to HCC that enable you to have total control of the designated assets throughout your lifetime, yet ensure the college receives those assets when your estate is settled. This bequest can establish a scholarship, fund a campus beautification project, or be designated for a campaign initiative. A major gift commitment is most effectively made utilizing a revocable will or trust.
