The Road to Success Starts Here!

Getting started on the right foot is arguably the most important part of starting a business…and staying in business. Many people have good business ideas. Unfortunately, too many of those people rush into business without sufficient preparation. We are here to help you get started on the right foot. And then, once you’ve started your small business, we’re here to help you as your business grows and you face the challenges of staying competitive in the marketplace.

So you have an idea for a small business? Let’s get started! Here are the first steps that you should take:

Step 1: Contact Quest

The first step is to set up a meeting with Quest to develop your business idea and discuss your plan of action.

Step 2: Write a business plan

The second step is to write a business plan that will define your business model, strategy, markets, marketing plan, competition, location, sources and uses of funds and the financial projections in the income statements and cash flows, and all of the short-term and long-term considerations that will steer your business in the right direction.

Step 3: Obtain financing

The third step is to obtain financing. Several financing options are available depending on the type of business involved. For example, Quest offers limited in-house financing for businesses that have patented or proprietary products. The Quest Center through its small business lending partners of Reno County Small Business Development Loan Program, local banks and credit unions, SCKEDD financing sources, Network Kansas partner financing and others has the ability to find the best available financing for your business.

The Quest Center promises not to leave you on an island without help. Quest Center personnel will maintain contact with you and your business and be available whenever needed. Should you have any questions about any need we are available to assist. If we do not know the answer we will find someone of our contacts that will be able to assist you.
