An introduction to practical nursing and the roles of the practical nurse as well as profession and client related concepts. Emphasis is placed on the knowledge and skill needed to provide safe, quality care. The theoretical foundation for basic data collection and nursing skills is presented, including an introduction to the nursing process as a framework for decision making. and an introduction to the principles of pharmacology with emphasis on nursing care related to safe calculation and administration o
f medications to clients across the life span.
