News and Updates

Our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site closed on April 11th, 2018. The site saw an increased number of returns this year, and we are luck to have the volunteers we do to make that happen! Be sure to keep us in mind for next year's tax season!

As spring and summer arrive, we have many opportunities to volunteer. Planting summer annuals downtown, helping with a poverty simulation at Hutchinson Public Library, assisting with Reno County Museum's Chalkfest, serving food or stamping passports at the Prairie Nights at the Zoo event, working at the American Red Cross blood drive, running games at the Summer Celebration at the Hutchinson Public Library, assisting with registration and traffic control at Hutch Rec's Smallville 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run, and many options are available to volunteer for! Contact us about becoming a special projects volunteer at 620-665-4960 or

We also continue to sell Stutzman's Gift Certificates in $25 increments, and $5 of that goes back to The Volunteer Center. This is a great time of year to pick up a few as you start planting, or as a gift for Mother's Day!
