Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

The Volunteer Center extends appreciation to all of the wonderful volunteers who make the VITA program happen every year.  In 2019, VITA volunteer tax preparers helped prepare over 1,400 tax returns. This free tax service is RE-OPENING for the 2020 season! The VITA tax site, located at the Salvation Army, will be open on June 23rd,24th, 25th, 30th and July 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th and 9th. IRS certified volunteers will prepare taxes free of charge for persons whose combined household income does not exceed $56,000. Hours are 8:30am-2:30pm.

The following precautions will be in place due to COVID-19:

20 person limit (walk-ins are first come, first served)

Masks must be worn

Social distancing will be observed
