The HutchCC Safety Academy offers Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) training classes on a regular basis, including MSHA Part 46 & 48 New Miner Training and Annual Refreshers. There are also many special interest courses available, such as mine safety specialist courses, mine rescue training, and underground search and rescue training.
We also offer cost effective, state-of-the-art OSHA training along with company specific written safety plans to help with your compliance needs.  If you are looking to advance your career in safety, we can help by offering OSHA certificate programs such as Specialist in Safety and Health (SSH) and Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO).
This program aims to help reduce the number of injuries and illnesses that take place in the mining industry, as well as educate more people about health and safety risks in the workplace.

Mine Safety


Hutchinson Community College offers New Miner and Annual Refresher training for both Part 46 and Part 48. We also have Mine Rescue Training and Train the Trainer Classes. Training can be tailored to your needs. Please call the office to set up your training.
